I'm a visual effects supervisor and a partner at Wanka, the production company and post-production studio we founded in 2005. Since then I've worked on around sixty films and series, some of them selected for the Oscars and for festivals such as Cannes, Berlin, San Sebastián and Locarno.
I started making electronic music on a computer in the late '90s. Between 2004 and 2021 I released music under several names: Lega, Hawaii, Plastique Vision, Martin Fissher, Weltschmerz and The Somnambulist. I also played live, both in Argentina and abroad. Over the years, my live setup evolved from a computer-based rig with MIDI controllers to a fully hardware setup, built mainly around sequencers and modular synths.
I've been into programming since I was a kid. In the late '80s I learned QuickBASIC and wrote lots of fairly useless little programs on my PC XT. Many years later I started experimenting with Python, and little by little the time I used to spend making music went into building the tools and apps I use every day. Most of them started with a real problem on a real production, and I share most of them for free.
