Lega started fiddling with guitars and music production at a pretty early age. Exposed to electronic music by means of Daft Punk and the Chemical Brothers, by the end of the 90s, he started making computer generated music. A couple of years later he founded a tech house collaboration with some friends called Hawaii, all the while producing a heavier, darker sound under the name Plastique Vision, releasing a bunch of 12" and performing live with MOS. By 2003, Lega had dived into a deep minimal soundscape and began producing under the monickers Martin Fissher, Welstchmerz and The somnambulist, although it was as Lega that he explored the minimal sound to its maximum potential, releasing many singles, EPs, and remixes for labels such as Immigrant, Intrinsic Design and Iron Box Music. By 2006 he started performing live with his friend Maxeen at local clubs and overseas.
2007 onwards, Lega became increasingly interested in an experimental, IDM, popish sound and started releasing new material which is less dance floor oriented. This also lead to an experimental live act with Maxeen as Porno for laicos, many times presented as an audiovisual performance.
A couple of years later, Lega founded a production & postproduction company (wanka.tv) and started working mainly in feature films, as a VFX artist, supervisor, motion designer, and as a musician, which kinda kept him away from the electronic music scene for some years.
In 2015 with his friend Facu Cruz started to craft a new live project called Bauness, which lead to an EP released at Micra.
In 2019, for the first time, he started to work on his solo live act, performing with hardware sequencers, samplers & modular synthetizers.
